Day of Surgery

-Do not wear make-up or nail polish to the Surgery Center.

-Wear loose, comfortable clothing.

-Do not bring valuables including jewelry with you. We cannot be responsible for damaged or lost property.

-If you wear contact lenses or glasses, bring a case for them with you. We provide containers for bridgework and dentures.

-Bring a list of regular medications, dosages and frequency with you on the day of surgery. Include, prescription, herbal and over the counter medications.

-All minor children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you are the legal guardian of a minor patient, please bring the guardianship papers with you.

-If you are the Power of Attorney for a child or adult, you are responsible to sign the facility and surgical consents prior to surgery.

-We strongly recommend when children under the age of 14 are having a procedure, two adults accompany the child. This way one adult can comfort the child while the other drives home.

-To make children feel more at home, we encourage them to bring along a favorite toy, stuffed animal and/or blanket. Parents are able to stay with their child until surgery and rejoin the child as soon as they are awake.

-For patients under 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian must stay within the Surgery Center while their child is having surgery.

-For any type of anesthesia, it is recommended that your driver or family member remain on the premises during surgery.

-If a family member or a driver has to leave for any reason, please inform the front desk and leave a cell phone number.
