After Surgery

-To maximize the comfort of our patients, up to two family members may join the patient in the recovery area as soon as they are awake.

-You and your family will be given oral and written instructions about your care at home.

-After you return home, be sure to follow all the doctor’s post-operative instructions. If you have received sedation or an anesthetic, do not drive, smoke, drink alcoholic beverages, operate machinery or sign any legal documents for 24 hours after being discharged from the Surgery Center.

-If you have any questions or concerns about your recovery, contact your doctor at the number listed on the Contact Information page.

-A day after your surgery, a registered nurse will attempt to call you to check on your progress. Please use this opportunity to ask any further questions concerning surgery. If we were unable to reach you by phone, a letter will be sent.
